Blessings in a Backpack provides elementary school children on the federal Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program with a backpack of food to take home for 38 weekends during the school year. In Fall 2020, it fed 88,900 children at more than 1,090 schools in 46 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The Washington Christian Outreach is delighted to be part of this program!
Make a difference on your birthday!
The Blessings in a Backpack team created a simple guide so your friends and relatives can participate in a “Donate Your Birthday” giving event. Together, everyone can raise $130 on your birthday to help feed a child for 38 weekends during the school year!

ATTENTION PARENTS:
Parents, if your child attends WEEP Elementary School or Transformation Learning School and are on Government funded or free lunches your child will come home at the end of the week with a bag of nutritional snacks. This is provided through the Blessings In A Backpack Program sponsored by WCO.
